Am 12. November 1995 fanden in Guatemala Parlamentswahlen statt , die zweite Runde der Präsidentschaftswahlen am 7. Januar 1996. Álvaro Arzú von der National Advancement Party gewann die Präsidentschaftswahlen, während seine Partei auch die Kongresswahlen gewann. Die Wahlbeteiligung lag am 12. November bei 46,8 % und am 7. Januar bei 36,9 %.
