Griphopithecus ist ein prähistorischer Affe aus dem Miozän der Türkei und Mitteleuropas .
Beschreibung
Griphopithecus wurde konsequent mit Stammhominoiden gruppiert. Das Material zeigt daher eher die Bandbreite der hominoiden lokomotorischen Anatomie im Europa des mittleren Miozäns als eine spezifische hominoide Anatomie der Krone.
