Michael Thrasher ist ein britischer Akademiker und Professor für Politik an der School of Sociology, Politics & Law der University of Plymouth . Er ist auch der Wahlanalyst von Sky News .
Thrasher wurde 1953 in Stoke-on-Trent , Staffordshire geboren. 1974 erhielt er seinen BA in Politik an der University of Liverpool . Er blieb in Liverpool, um seine Doktorarbeit "The Political Theory of English Local Government, 1834- 1972". Er erhielt seinen Ph.D. 1981. Er begann 1977 in Plymouth zu unterrichten und wurde 1997 Professor für Politik. Er ist Co-Direktor des Local Government Chronicle Elections Centre.
Zusammen mit seinem Kollegen Colin Rallings hat Thrasher ausführlich über Wahlsysteme , Ergebnisse und britische Politik geschrieben . Er ist Co-Direktor des Local Government Chronicle Elections Centre. Thrasher erschien in der Wahlberichterstattung von Sky News 2017 und ist seit 1992 in der Wahlnachtberichterstattung des Kanals als Psephologe für jede Wahl aufgetreten .
