Rewrite[edit]

Of all the seasons I've re-written, this one had the most excessive information that didn't belong in the article - namely all the material not relating directly to the Premiership season (e.g. League Cup results, excessive details on Man U's play/signings/etc over the season). As far as I can tell most of the relevant information is at 1996-97 in English football anyway, but if anyone feels I've missed anything you can use the page history to retrieve the info, or contact me and I'll do it.
